Well, at least one tornado hit near where we
lived last year, and there were lightning strikes all over the place.
Central Dispatch got hit, as well as my workplace. Scott and I had to go
up there and make sure everything was in working order, so I wouldn't get stuck
doing it by myself at 5 AM tomorrow, I think we got everything back up and
running. (I hope). Exciting night... Scott took some pictures
with the digital camera of the sky, it was a really weird yellow-green
color. Very eerie pictures, especially the one he took of the church
across the street with the weird colored sky in the background. Nanci,
Scott says he'll e-mail you privately with the key for the colors in that map
later (i.e., whenever I get off the computer).
There are still some distant flickers of lightning,
but it seems that it's pretty much over. I slept through most of it, but
my ex-husband and his family (including my oldest son), who were out
picnicking at the time the storm hit, spent a good portion of the evening hiding
in an outdoor public restroom.
Oh, and here's a cute kid comment from my six year
old:
"Mom, there were tomatoes in the sky! Bad
tomatoes that could hurt you, or could even kill you!"

Subject: [creedtalk] Not that anyone
cares. but
I'm going to be offline for a bit. Severe
Tornado warning for the area, and the sky just went a nice yellow color.
They're advising that everyone get inside secure buildings, and take
cover.
Wish Tara and I luck,. and catch you all on the
flipside.
Attached is the Doppler pic, for those curious
with this sort of shit.
